Waterloo Schools curbside meal pickup program will ensure students 18 years old and younger won't go hungry while schools are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The curbside meal pick-up program, which takes place Monday through Friday until schools presumably reopen on Sunday, April 12, was launched March 23 with scheduled pick-up times for various Waterloo campuses.

Those locations, according to Waterloo Schools, include:

  • Cunningham, Kingsley and Orange from 9-10 a.m.
  • Kittrell, Highland from 10-11 a.m.
  • Becker and Lou Henry from 11 a.m. to noon.
  • Irving, Lincoln, Poyner from noon to 1 p.m.
  • Education Service Center, 1516 Washington St. (site for Lowell) between 9 a.m. and noon.
Caregivers and parents can pick up meals at grab-and-go locations for those students who attend classes at any of the Waterloo campuses and must be able to provide the student’s name and age to school officials.

Parents who have general questions, or have questions about the meal pickup program can call Waterloo Schools at 319-433-1800.
