Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing the role of ICE agents and her legislative efforts to protect them.

On September 3, 2025, Hinson wrote: "Brave ICE agents are the frontlines of deporting illegal aliens & keeping Americans safe. ICE agents have faced continued attacks for their hard work. Instead of supporting law enforcement, the Left wants to strip them of their safety gear. It’s ridiculous. That’s why I".

The following day, September 4, she expanded on her position with another post: "The only people who should be afraid are violent criminals who attack ICE agents. My bill will put the monsters who attack ICE agents behind bars for a very long time — exactly where they should be! https://t.co/ABxmNkdP7u".

Later that same day, Hinson commented further: "No surprise here. Iowans and Americans just want to feel protected and safe in their communities. https://t.co/hC0hJa9K7H".

Ashley Hinson has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Abby Finkenauer and previously held office in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson is an alumna of the University of Southern California.
