Ashley Hinson addresses Middle East developments and breast cancer awareness on social media

Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing international affairs and public health.

On October 9, 2025, Hinson wrote, "President Trump is the peacemaker in chief! After two long years of unimaginable brutality unleashed by Hamas, innocent hostages will finally be reunited with their families.

Thanks to the Trump Administration’s relentless efforts, Hamas terrorists will no longer wreak havoc in". The post highlights her support for former President Donald Trump's role in facilitating the release of hostages after a prolonged period of violence involving Hamas.

Later that same day, Hinson quoted Senator Chuck Schumer on her account: “Every day gets better for us.” -@SenSchumer (October 9, 2025).

On October 10, 2025, she addressed public health concerns by posting about breast cancer awareness: "October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This month, please join me in spreading awareness about the importance of early detection and screening. Early detection saves lives!"

Hinson has represented Iowa's 2nd District since replacing Abby Finkenauer in Congress and previously served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA degree in 2004.
