Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, shared updates on social media in late August 2025 about her visits and policy discussions across Northern Iowa.

On August 27, Hinson posted about her engagement with a local nonprofit: "Had a wonderful visit to YSS of North Iowa, a nonprofit dedicated to lifting up youth and families in Northern Iowa. Touring their campus gave me a firsthand look at the incredible range of services they provide—helping young people and families overcome challenges and build https://t.co/L0m8HqmbQH".

The following day, she commented on recent tax legislation while meeting constituents: "Spent some time in downtown Clear Lake this week to discuss the impact of the working family tax cuts we passed in President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill! Thanks to this bill, Iowans will have more money in their pocket, small businesses will have more certainty, & everyone https://t.co/r5bucEnHGa" (August 28).

Later that same day, Hinson addressed immigration enforcement measures: ".@RealTomHoman just confirmed that ICE will be ramping up operations in soft-on-crime cities nationwide. This is great news.

Sanctuary cities like Chicago and LA have been blatantly harboring criminal illegal aliens instead of turning them over to ICE and following the law." (August 28).

Ashley Hinson has represented Iowa’s 2nd congressional district since 2021 after serving four years in the Iowa House of Representatives. She was born in Des Moines in 1983 and resides in Marion. Hinson earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California in 2004.
