Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, recently shared updates on her activities and policy positions through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 26, 2025, Hinson posted about her engagement with local stakeholders and business owners in Mason City: "Just wrapped up a great US Chamber roundtable with local stakeholders and business owners in Mason City. You’re essential to the strength of Iowa’s rural economy, and I’m grateful for our partnership. We agreed: hardworking Iowans and small businesses deserve a tax code that https://t.co/ZfYH8NPtZY".

The following day, August 27, 2025, she commented on energy policy and consumer prices: "Thanks, President Trump! Turns out when you unleash American energy instead of stifling it, prices go down for consumers. https://t.co/FA3CXB4TT7".

Later that morning, Hinson highlighted her ongoing outreach across the district: "On the road again — live from Mason City! We’ve already made more than 80 stops across the district this year on my 22 County Tour…many more to go! https://t.co/ZCcfWIqajD".

Hinson has represented Iowa’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Before joining Congress, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004.
