Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, shared updates on her social media account on August 21, 2025, covering topics from public safety to support for local agriculture and small businesses.

In a post made at 14:31 UTC on August 21, Hinson commented on crime and political accountability in the nation’s capital. She wrote: "And these are the monsters Democrats defend. Insanity. Our nation’s capital—and cities across the country—will be safe again under Trump."

Later that day at 17:15 UTC, Hinson highlighted a visit to an agricultural facility in Butler County. She stated: "Stopped by Shell Rock Soy Processing in Butler County yesterday! Agriculture is the foundation of our state's economy, and the One Big Beautiful Bill strongly supports Iowa's farmers and biofuels industry."

Hinson has served as a member of Congress for Iowa’s 2nd District since defeating Abby Finkenauer in 2021 and previously represented her community in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and now residing in Marion, she graduated with a BA from the University of Southern California in 2004.
