Ashley Hinson highlights local visits and policy initiatives during August events

Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, shared updates on social media about her recent activities in Iowa, including local visits and policy discussions.

On August 17, 2025, Hinson posted about a state fair experience: "Another fair classic - egg on a stick! @IowaEggCouncil https://t.co/z361vxbUwJ".

The following day, she highlighted her visit to Hills & Dales and the new Weber Autism Center: "Had a great visit to Hills & Dales to see the incredible work they’re doing to support individuals with disabilities and their families. We toured the new, state-of-the-art Weber Autism Center, and discussed how the One Big Beautiful Bill strengthens home and community-based https://t.co/BZXFO68SKN" (August 18, 2025).

Later that same day, Hinson detailed her participation in a roundtable discussion in Dubuque: "Today, I participated in a roundtable discussion in Dubuque with @AFPhq. We discussed pro-growth policies in the One Big Beautiful Bill - helping folks keep more of their hard-earned money through no tax on tips and overtime & providing certainty for small businesses. https://t.co/BligsxZaZM" (August 18, 2025).

Hinson has served as Iowa’s representative for the 2nd congressional district since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Before joining Congress, she was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson earned her BA from the University of Southern California in 2004.
