Ashley Hinson discusses support for small businesses and recent events in Iowa

Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to discuss small business issues and highlight visits from federal officials in Iowa.

On August 12, 2025, Hinson posted: "After four years of endless red tape & regulation under Biden, the small business community finally has the freedom to thrive thanks to President Trump! We will continue working to provide certainty to Iowa’s Main Street community…we are just getting started!"

The following day, she shared another update about events in Iowa: "Great to have @SBA_Kelly in Iowa to talk about the ways the One Big Beautiful Bill is supporting the Iowa small business community! https://t.co/jY9IBan1mC" On August 13, Hinson also announced a media appearance: "Joining @EveningEdit next. Tune in to @FoxBusiness!"

Hinson has been serving as a U.S. Representative for Iowa’s 2nd District since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Before her time in Congress, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 until her election to federal office. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson graduated with a BA from the University of Southern California in 2004.
