Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, recently shared updates on her work and outreach efforts in Iowa through several posts on her official Twitter account.

On July 31, 2025, Hinson posted about her ongoing engagement with constituents across multiple counties, stating, "Grateful for my time meeting with Iowans in Benton, Buchanan, Fayette, Winneshiek, and Allamakee Counties on my 22 County Tour. Last stop for today: Clayton County Fair!"

Later that same day, she highlighted legislative initiatives focused on tax relief. In a tweet dated July 31, 2025, Hinson wrote, "The One, Big Beautiful Bill provides tax relief for workers & more money in their pockets. More from my No Tax on Tips Roundtable this week in Independence"

Addressing recent debates surrounding proposed legislation on August 1, 2025, Hinson posted another update: "Coming back with another video to debunk some of the Left’s lies about the One Big Beautiful Bill… this time about nutrition benefits. Our historic bill strengthens SNAP for the vulnerable and empowers Americans to provide for their families and take on new opportunities."

Hinson has served as the U.S. Representative for Iowa's 2nd District since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Prior to her current role in Congress, she was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson graduated from the University of Southern California in 2004.
