On July 29, 2025, Hinson posted about her visit to a local baseball museum: "Had a fantastic visit to the Iowa Baseball Museum of Norway this afternoon! I loved hearing the incredible history behind Norway baseball and the profound impact it has on our communities for generations. I will most definitely be bringing Max and Jax next time! https://t.co/bzQ1Kgy66U"

On July 30, 2025, she wrote: "There should be full accountability at the University of Iowa after an employee admitted that she and others at the university are skirting both Iowa & federal law that ended DEI at public institutions.
