Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 2nd district, recently shared her experiences and opinions through a series of tweets. Hinson, who succeeded Abby Finkenauer in 2021, has been active in sharing insights on manufacturing, legislative decisions regarding child protection, and historical commemorations.

On June 18, 2025, Hinson tweeted about her visit to Church & Dwight's operations in Mason City. She expressed admiration for their production process and highlighted the global reach of their animal nutrition products. She stated, "Today I had the chance to see Church & Dwight's operations firsthand & hear more about their production process. The animal nutrition products made right here in Mason City are utilized by farmers across the U.S. and around the world! Iowa manufacturing remains strong thanks to https://t.co/m1LGcAu9fL".

On June 19, 2025, she addressed legislative efforts concerning child protection with her support for a decision aimed at protecting children. She mentioned the One Big Beautiful Bill as a positive step forward and reiterated her commitment to ensuring no tax dollars fund sex change surgeries for minors. In her words: "Good. This is the right decision but there is more to do to protect children. The One Big Beautiful Bill is another step in the right direction—and I look forward to continuing my work to ensure zero tax dollars are spent on sex change surgeries, especially for minors!"

Later that day, Hinson commemorated Juneteenth by reflecting on its significance as a reminder of America's ongoing pursuit of freedom and equality. She wrote: "On Juneteenth, we honor the day in 1865 when Union soldiers brought word of freedom to the last enslaved people in Texas. It remains a powerful reminder of our ongoing journey toward the American ideals of freedom and equality—and a reaffirmation of our commitment to liberty and"

Ashley Hinson was born in Des Moines in 1983 and resides in Marion with her family. Before serving Iowa’s 2nd District since 2021, she was part of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017-2021.
