Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, has shared her views on various issues through recent social media posts. Hinson, who succeeded Abby Finkenauer and previously served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021, continues to engage with her constituents on national security and veterans' affairs.

On June 9, 2025, Hinson expressed her opinion regarding the designation of terrorist organizations. She stated that the "Muslim Brotherhood—or any terrorist organization, for that matter—should be designated as such." Hinson conveyed gratitude towards the Trump Administration for its efforts in defending the United States against adversaries and criticized President Biden for not prioritizing this issue.

In a tweet dated June 10, 2025, Hinson paid tribute to Specialist Fourth Class Keith Smith, a Vietnam veteran affected by Agent Orange exposure who succumbed to Glioblastoma. She noted that "SP4 Smith served our country with pride and honor" but was unable to access necessary healthcare under the current PACT Act.

Later on June 10, 2025, Hinson addressed a local news outlet's report with a brief comment. She posted "Fixed it for you, @KCRG." indicating a correction or clarification regarding their coverage.

Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Ashley Hinson graduated from the University of Southern California in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
