Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 2nd district, has recently shared updates on her activities and collaborations through social media. These updates reflect her ongoing engagement with advocacy efforts and policy development.

On May 8, 2025, Hinson expressed appreciation for Christina Perri's visit to her Washington D.C. office. "I loved having Christina Perri stop by my DC office and share her powerful story." She highlighted Perri's role as a leading advocate for improving maternal care and preventing stillbirths, expressing gratitude for Perri's contributions on behalf of mothers and aspiring mothers.

The following day, May 9, 2025, Hinson commented on David’s qualifications in various fields such as business, education, and public service. "David’s experience in business, education, and public service makes him the right person to bring a smart, responsible approach to education policy." She conveyed confidence in his ability to enhance educational systems by ensuring accountability and preparing students for future employment opportunities.

Later that day on May 9th, Hinson provided news relevant to Iowa farmers regarding California’s Proposition 12 regulations. "NEWS for IA farmers: Secretary Rollins agreed we must protect producers from the regulatory regime of California’s Prop 12." Ashley Hinson has been serving in Congress since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Before this role, she was part of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 until her congressional election victory. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion at age 39, she is an alumna of the University of Southern California with a BA degree obtained in 2004.
