On May 6, 2025, Hinson expressed gratitude on National Teacher Appreciation Day by acknowledging the dedication of teachers. She noted their significant impact on students' lives, including her own children. "It’s National Teacher Appreciation Day! I am beyond thankful for all the outstanding teachers who work tirelessly to meet students’ needs and set them up for success in the classroom!"

Later that day, Hinson reported a meeting with the Iowa Hospital Association alongside other members of the Iowa delegation. She emphasized her commitment to addressing healthcare needs from Iowa's 2nd district in Washington D.C., aiming to improve healthcare access for Iowans. She praised efforts by President Biden and Secretary Noem to refocus the Department of Homeland Security's mission towards protecting Americans. "Biden abused taxpayer dollars to house illegal immigrants in fancy hotels."

Hinson has represented Iowa’s 2nd District since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021 after serving in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021.
