Ashley Hinson, an established political figure serving in the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 2nd District since 2021, recently shared her engagements and opinions on various issues via a series of tweets. Hinson succeeded Abby Finkenauer in the role and has a background that includes serving in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021.

On April 9, 2025, Hinson expressed appreciation for the truckers of Iowa following a meeting with representatives of the Iowa Motor Truck Association. She emphasized the importance of truckers to the state's economy and acknowledged their role in supporting both businesses and consumers. In her words, "Enjoyed meeting with representatives of the Iowa Motor Truck Association! Truckers are essential to Iowa’s economy, and I appreciate their dedication to ensuring our businesses and consumers get what they need."

On the following day, April 10, 2025, Hinson shared a legislative update. She announced that the House had voted to pass the No Rogue Rulings Act, a move aimed at addressing judicial decisions. Hinson encouraged people to read her full statement on the matter, tweeting, "The House just voted to end judicial weaponization by passing the No Rogue Rulings Act. Read my statement "

Later, on the same day, Hinson voiced her support for the political agenda set forth by former President Trump. While brief, her statement reinforced her alignment with Trump's policies, as noted in the tweet, "We must deliver on President Trump’s agenda."

Hinson's engagements highlight her active role in representing Iowa's interests at both the state and national levels. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1983, and currently residing in Marion, she graduated from the University of Southern California in 2004 with a BA.
