Men’s Bowling Competes at National Collegiate Team Match Games

The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Bowling team competed at the National Collegiate Team Match Games on November 19-20, 2022. 

The top finisher for the men was Alex Sturbaum, coming in at 50th with a total of 1175 pins. Sturbaum averaged 195.8 over six games and rolled a 290 during the fourth game. Jacob Butcher finished right behind him in 51st place, knocking down 1173 pins with an average of 195. 5. Simon Larsen totaled 1087 pins with an average of 181.2 over the weekend. Larsen's best score came in game four, knocking down 245 pins.

Overall the team totaled 9017 pins at the competition, putting them at 19th out of 23. 

The RedTails will travel to Sioux City, Iowa on December 2-3, 2022 to compete at the Morningside Mustang Open. This will be the last competition for the bowling team before heading into the new year.
