RedTails Women's Soccer Season ends to Southeastern

RedTail Women's Soccer faced off against Northeast Community College on October 30, in the third round of playoffs where they fell 3-0.

The most important game of the RedTails season came against Northeast CC. for the Region 11 Tournament Championship. Northeast came in with one conference loss on the season and that came via the RedTails late in the season. This game was much different with the Eagles getting on the board early and then adding two more goals before the half putting the RedTails in a 3 goal deficit. The RedTails couldn't get much offense going in the second half and would fall to the Eagles with the score holding 3-0 the whole second half and ending the same ending the RedTails season.

Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after the RedTails season came to an end.

"Going into the game we knew we had to try and beat a very good side and having done it earlier in the season it gave us confidence," he said. "We knew we had to come here and defend and keep it tight at least in the first half. We were very cloe to getting the equalizer, in fact inches away. But we weren't able to get it and the more we chased the goal unfortunately the more we opened ourselves up. This group has made unbelievable progress in such a short space of time. Finishing runners up in the conference and in the region playoffs gives the team a drive to go one better next year and I truly feel the foundation b to do that has been laid this season. I could not be more proud of the group of young ladies. I am so thankful that i had the opportunity to go on this journey with them this season and want to thank our Sophmores for everything have given to this program the last 2 years, we wish them every success in their future endeavors."

The RedTails season would come to an end with an overall record of 9-7-1 and 7-2-1 in the conference and making it to the third round of the playoffs.
