RedTail Women's Soccer faced off against tough Southeastern Community College at home on October 1, where they won 3-0.
The RedTails got off to a hot start with a goal by Grace Heddens less than two minutes into the game to give the RedTails the lead 1-0. The RedTails would extend their lead with 19:27 left in the first half as Grace Heddens found the back of the net again to give the RedTails a 2-0 lead. That score would hold for the first half giving the RedTails the lead going into the second half. Jacque Kuester finds the back of the net as she was assisted by Libby Keown to give the RedTails a 3-0 lead with under 15 to play. That score would hold till the end and give the RedTails the victory 3-0.
Women's head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words to say about how the girls played.
"I couldn't have been more proud of the team, they prepared so well for this game and did everything the coaching staff asked of them," he said. "Our pressure and intensity was the best I have seen from us and that showed early in the game and really set the team up for success in an important game."
The RedTails next matchup will be on the road Tuesday, October 4, at 3:30pm. against Scott Community College.
