CITY OF CEDAR FALLS: Downtown Sidewalk Closure- 400 Block

Sidewalk

City of Cedar Falls issued the following announcement on June 16.

Beginning the week of June 21, 2021, the contractor will begin the removal and replacement of the existing concrete sidewalk with the updated brick pavers on the west side of the 400 block of Main Street. In order for the contractor to begin removal, a partial sidewalk closure will be required. The closure will be in effect for four (4) to five (5) weeks, depending on the weather.

For safety's sake, please stay away from the fenced-off construction area. During the closure, temporary pedestrian access will be maintained by providing a fine-gravel walkway from each doorway to the temporary access walks. Outdoor seating patios along Main Street will need to be removed and relocated during the closure.
