Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa's 2nd district since 2021, recently shared updates on her activities and legislative efforts via social media. Hinson, who succeeded Abby Finkenauer in the role, has been active in various community and legislative initiatives.

On December 13, 2024, Ashley Hinson commemorated the National Guard's 388th birthday. She expressed gratitude towards the National Guardsmen across Iowa and the country for their service and dedication. "Happy 388th Birthday to the National Guard! Thank you to every National Guardsman across Iowa and our country for their dedication and service. Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed."

Later that day, she highlighted her participation in volunteer work with HACAP ahead of the holiday season. She acknowledged their efforts to address food insecurity among Iowans during this time of year. "Great day volunteering with my team at @HACAP_ ahead of the holidays. They’re doing incredible work to ensure no Iowan goes hungry this holiday season, and we were glad to be a part of it!"

In addition to her community engagement, Hinson announced legislative progress regarding trade law violations by China. Her bill addressing issues such as tariff evasion and forced labor passed the House of Representatives.
