On July 9, 2025, Hinson expressed her support for former President Donald Trump with a brief statement: "Iowa is Trump Country!"
Later that day, she addressed agricultural policies and rural America. In a post thanking key figures in the current administration, she stated: "Rural America is no longer being overlooked. Thank you, @POTUS and @SecRollins, for working hard to reverse Biden’s anti-ag policies and ensuring farmers get the relief they deserve so they can continue feeding and fueling the world."

Ashley Hinson was born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently resides in Marion. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
