Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, recently expressed her views on law enforcement and protests via social media. Her comments come amidst ongoing national discussions about immigration policy and civil unrest.

On June 8, 2025, Hinson thanked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in California for their efforts to "enforce the law & working to keep Americans safe." She stated, "We should deport illegal aliens & arrest violent rioters. Simple as that."

The following day, on June 9, 2025, Hinson posted a tweet simply titled “Peaceful Protests”, linking to an external content without further elaboration.

Later that same day, she followed up with another post directed at the Governor of California. In this tweet she sarcastically remarked "So peaceful! Right, @CAGovernor?" while sharing additional content.

Hinson was born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently resides in Marion. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. She is an alumna of the University of Southern California where she earned her BA in 2004.
