Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa's 2nd district, has been actively sharing her views and engagements through social media. Her recent posts highlight her focus on flood preparedness, healthcare policy, and financial security for Iowa families.

On May 14, 2025, Hinson expressed gratitude towards Jay Faison of the Flood Coalition for an informative meeting. She emphasized the importance of flood preparedness in Iowa, stating "Many thanks to Jay Faison with @floodcoalition for an insightful meeting today! No one knows the importance of flood preparedness better than Iowans, and I will continue working to ensure we have the resources necessary for preparation & mitigation!"

The following day, May 15, 2025, Hinson took a firm stance on healthcare policy regarding undocumented immigrants. She tweeted "Health care for ILLEGALS shouldn’t just be scaled back, it should be cancelled." reflecting her position on limiting healthcare benefits.

Later that day, she also acknowledged the efforts of local banking professionals by stating "Always happy to see the Community Bankers of Iowa! I appreciate their commitment to ensuring Iowa families have the tools to be financially secure & prepare for their future." This underscores her appreciation for initiatives aimed at enhancing financial stability among Iowa residents.

Ashley Hinson has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Abby Finkenauer. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and residing in Marion, she holds a BA from the University of Southern California.
