Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 2nd district, has recently shared her views on various topics through social media posts. Her tweets cover issues ranging from education and small businesses to maternal health.

On May 2, 2025, Hinson expressed her support for efforts to minimize digital distractions in classrooms. She stated, "As a mom, I totally agree with this and really appreciate @IAgovernor’s work to set up our children for success in the classroom. Ending digital distractions will help our kids and teachers!"

In another post dated May 5, 2025, Hinson celebrated National Small Business Week by acknowledging the importance of small businesses in Iowa's economy. She tweeted, "Happy National Small Business Week, Iowa! Small businesses make up 99% of American companies and are truly the backbone of Iowa's economy." She thanked the small business community for their contributions to local economies and communities.

Also on May 5, 2025, Hinson marked International Midwife Day by expressing gratitude towards midwives for their role in maternal and infant health. She noted the significance of their work particularly in rural areas and affirmed her commitment to improving maternal health. Her tweet read: "On International Midwife Day, I want to thank midwives across Iowa and America for your dedication to maternal and infant health."

Ashley Hinson has been serving in Congress since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Prior to that, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in 2004.
