Ashley Hinson, a current U.S. Congress member representing Iowa’s 2nd district, shared various insights through a series of tweets regarding her recent activities and engagements. Hinson, who has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Abby Finkenauer, also held a position in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1983, Hinson now resides in Marion and is an alumna of the University of Southern California.

On March 30, 2025, Hinson remarked on her tour of the BAE Systems facility in Cedar Rapids, recalling that the "first-ever GPS signal was received in 1977 right here in Cedar Rapids."
