Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa's 2nd district, recently shared several updates on her social media platform. Her posts highlighted National Ag Day, the safe return of astronauts, and her new role on the House Committee on Ethics.

On March 18, 2025, Hinson commemorated National Ag Day by acknowledging the contributions of local farmers. In her post, she gave a special mention to Fayette County’s Tim and Darla Recker, noting their hard work and dedication to agriculture in Iowa. "Don’t forget to thank a farmer on National Ag Day! I wanted to give a shoutout to Fayette County’s own Tim and Darla Recker. The Reckers embody the hard work and dedication that make Iowa agriculture thrive."

Later that same day, Hinson expressed gratitude for the safe return of astronauts who had been in space for nine months. She thanked SpaceX, Elon Musk, and NASA for their efforts in bringing them back home safely. "The astronauts who were stuck in space for nine months are HOME! Thank you, @SpaceX, @elon, & @NASA — many prayers answered!"

On March 19, 2025, Hinson announced her appointment to the bipartisan House Committee on Ethics by Speaker Johnson. She emphasized her commitment to transparency and accountability since joining Congress. "I am honored @SpeakerJohnson has entrusted me to serve on the bipartisan House Committee on Ethics. Since coming to Congress, I have worked to uphold the principles of public service through transparency and accountability."
