Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 2nd district, recently shared her views on various topics through a series of tweets. Hinson has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Abby Finkenauer and has a background in the Iowa House of Representatives. She resides in Marion, Iowa, and holds a degree from the University of Southern California.

On March 17, 2025, Hinson expressed support for year-round E15 fuel usage, stating that it is beneficial for "Iowa farmers, consumers (including mini-van-driving moms like me), and American energy independence!" The tweet highlights her focus on agricultural and energy issues relevant to her constituency. "Year-round E15 is a win for Iowa farmers, consumers (including mini-van-driving moms like me), and American energy independence!"

The following day, March 18, 2025, Hinson celebrated National Agriculture Day by acknowledging the contributions of farmers. She emphasized that food production involves significant effort from farmers rather than simply appearing at grocery stores. Her tweet was an expression of gratitude towards Iowa's farming community: "Happy National Ag Day! Your food doesn’t grow at the grocery store — it is produced by hardworking farmers who sacrifice and persevere to feed & fuel the world. Thank you to Iowa’s farmers who work day in and day out for us!"

Later that same day, Hinson addressed concerns regarding foreign influence within the United States. She criticized the operation of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police stations in America aimed at surveilling American citizens and harassing Chinese nationals who fled China. Partnering with Senator Tom Cotton, she introduced legislation aimed at expelling such operations: "NEWThe CCP should have NEVER been able to operate police stations in the U.S. to surveil American citizens and harass Chinese citizens who have fled the Communist regime."
