Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa's 2nd district, shared insights into her recent activities and priorities through a series of tweets on February 17, 2025. Hinson, who has been serving in Congress since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021, has focused on advancing access to healthcare and discussing national security and fiscal policies.

On February 17, 2025, Hinson highlighted her visit to the Waverly Children's Building at Pathways Behavioral Services. She stated: "Today, I visited the Waverly Children's Building in Pathways Behavioral Services. Advancing access to pediatric and mental healthcare in Iowa is among my top priorities, and it was great hearing directly from the people who provide those critical services in #IA02."

Later that day, she expressed gratitude towards President Biden and former ICE Director Tom Homan for their efforts in border security. In her words: "Thank you, @POTUS & @RealTomHoman. Our nation is safer with a secure border."

In the evening of the same day, Hinson engaged with students at Northern Iowa University’s public budgeting class. She mentioned: "Honored to speak with @northerniowa’s public budgeting class today! We talked about government spending, the federal budget, and the appropriations process. I loved hearing from such an engaged group of Iowa’s future leaders — thank you for the invitation to visit today."
