Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa’s 2nd district, shared several updates on her recent activities through social media posts. Hinson has been serving in Congress since 2021 and is actively involved in various initiatives.

On February 2, 2025, Hinson celebrated the achievements of Peggy Whitson, an astronaut from Iowa. "Congratulations to Iowa’s own Peggy Whitson for being inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame! At a total of 675 days, Peggy has spent more time in space than any other American in history. Truly an inspiration!"

The following day, February 3, Hinson visited Operation Empower’s Liberty Recovery Center to discuss the impact of their residential recovery housing programs. She emphasized the importance of these services in addressing substance abuse issues.
