Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, has recently expressed her views on various topics through social media posts. These tweets cover immigration enforcement, abortion legislation, and forest management policies.

On January 23, 2025, Ashley Hinson shared her stance on immigration enforcement via Twitter. She stated that those who are in the country illegally and have committed crimes should consider self-deportation to avoid intervention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She added that under the leadership of President Joe Biden and Tom Homan, efforts are being made towards enhancing national safety. "If you're an illegal alien here and you've committed crimes you should be self deporting or ICE will show up at your door. Under the leadership of @POTUS and @RealTomHoman, we are Making America Safe Again!"

Later that day, Hinson addressed the topic of providing care for infants who survive abortions. As a mother herself, she expressed disbelief over the controversy surrounding this issue. She announced her support as a cosponsor for Representative Ann Wagner's Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, emphasizing its potential to save lives and reiterating her commitment to advocating for women’s rights. "Providing life-saving care to babies who survive abortions shouldn’t be controversial, and as a mom, I truly can’t believe it is. I’m proud to cosponsor @RepAnnWagner’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act."

In another tweet posted on January 23rd, Hinson commented on forest management issues in Southern California following recent devastation caused by inadequate practices. She highlighted legislative efforts such as the Fix Our Forests Act passed by House Republicans aimed at restoring forest health and increasing resilience against future disasters."Much of the devastation in Southern California could have been avoided with proper forest management."
