On December 8, 2024, Hinson praised Tom Gerhold's contributions to Iowans in Des Moines during his visit to Washington D.C. She expressed her pleasure in meeting him by stating "Tom Gerhold does great work for Iowans in Des Moines. Great to see him while he was visiting DC last week!"
The following day, December 9, 2024, Hinson noted her staff's participation in the annual Manchester Elected Officials Luncheon. She acknowledged state leaders' efforts alongside the Iowa Governor to improve tax policies and support the agricultural economy.
