Ashley Hinson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Iowa's 2nd district since 2021, shared her thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets posted on November 21 and 22, 2024. Her comments touched on issues ranging from media coverage to federal workforce policies.

On November 21, Hinson criticized the mainstream media for allegedly omitting details regarding the immigration status of the suspect in Laken Riley’s murder. She expressed frustration over what she perceives as a failure by the media to highlight that the accused was an illegal immigrant. Hinson attributed this situation to President Joe Biden's immigration policies, stating, "Mainstream media all conveniently leaving out the fact that Laken Riley’s murder was an illegal immigrant in their headlines."

Later that day, Hinson shared a light-hearted moment from her personal life, mentioning how she discovered some Legos while organizing her office. She humorously remarked on her relief at finding them rather than stepping on them, noting "I suppose that’s better than stepping on them! Just boy mom things."

On November 22, Hinson voiced support for Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy's critique of federal employees working remotely. She expressed concern about taxpayer-funded office space being underutilized and reiterated her stance that federal workers should return to their offices or face termination. In her tweet, she stated, "Glad to see @elonmusk & @VivekGRamaswamy highlighting the issue of federal bureaucrats 'working' from home on taxpayer dime – wasting office space paid for by taxpayers & slacking off."
