Hawkeye Community College will host the annual Cedar Valley Manufacturing Conference on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 8:00am-3:00pm at the Van G. Miller Adult Learning Center, 120 Jefferson Street, Waterloo, Iowa.
This conference is a great place to learn about what's new and evolving in the manufacturing industry, the state of manufacturing in Iowa, available business grants, funding opportunities, industry resources, and workforce solutions.
One of the conference highlights will be a panel discussion on people, process, and performance with local business owners, led by the founders of Making Chips, a podcast by manufacturing leaders designed to equip and inspire other leaders in the industry. The conference will also include a session on workforce retention, an overview of the plans for Hawkeye’s new Automation and Robotics Center at TechWorks, a presentation on the state of manufacturing in Iowa, and an exploration of “Workplace 4.0: Using Data to Develop Leadership That Lasts.”
