1,376 students enrolled in Independence Comm School District schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 1,376 students enrolled in Independence Comm School District schools in the 2023-24 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Iowa Department of Education.

Of all students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 53% were boys, and 47% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 90.6% of the Independence Comm School District's total enrollment.

Independence Comm School District roughly covers three schools within Buchanan County and has a main office in Independence.Public school enrollment in Iowa remained relatively stable in the 2024-25 school year, with 480,665 students, a slight decrease of 0.63% compared to the previous year.
