Volunteer Information

This event would not be possible without the assistance of local businesses, community groups, and individual community members. 50 volunteers (age 16+) are needed. To volunteer, go to wastetrac.org or email educator@wastetrac.org.

Volunteers assist with directing traffic, shrink-wrapping, traffic safety/surveying, and unloading household chemicals and electronics from vehicles. Community groups and businesses are encouraged to sign up to help, whether it be part of a sports team, civic or collegiate club, corporate team, church group, etc. Individuals or those needing to fulfill community service may sign up as well. There are two volunteer shifts available: 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (entire event) OR 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (morning shift). Organizations that commit to providing a team of five or more by August 31, 2022, will be recognized through event promotion materials and a post with the organization's logo at the event.
