Union Community School District recently issued the following announcement.
With the departure of Mike Timmer from the transportation department, district patrons are asked to call the bus barn and leave a message on the answering machine if their child will not be riding the bus, or with any transportation-related business.
Those phone numbers are 319-342-3286 in La Porte City, and 319-476-5502 in Dysart. The answering machines will be monitored.
In the interim, until a transportation director can be hired and brought on board, you may text or email Superintendent Travis Fleshner t_fleshner@unon.k12.ia.us; 319-269-7736, with transportation issues. Please make sure you leave your name, a phone number, your child’s name, and bus number so that these can be addressed promptly.
