Ashley Hinson addresses drug prices and criticizes Democrats in recent social media posts

Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district, posted a series of tweets on September 30, 2025, addressing drug pricing and criticizing Democratic actions.

In her first tweet at 17:22 UTC, Hinson expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s efforts to address prescription drug costs. She wrote, "Grateful for all President Trump is doing to lower drug prices for Americans and Iowans, especially ensuring that Americans aren't unfairly paying more for prescription drugs than people in other countries do. I will continue working alongside President Trump to bring badly".

Later the same day at 18:45 UTC, Hinson commented on Democratic Party conduct by stating, "The Democrats’ hypocrisy is on full display."

At 19:34 UTC, she referenced a political livestream with the remark: "Ah yes, nothing like a 24-hour livestream to try and prove you’re not pulling a political stunt…"

Ashley Hinson has represented Iowa's 2nd District in Congress since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California (2004).
