Ashley Hinson, U.S. Congresswoman representing Iowa’s 2nd district since 2021, recently shared a series of posts on her Twitter account commenting on national trade policy and border security.
On July 27, 2025, Hinson praised the administration’s trade achievements, stating: "Another historic trade deal, another big win for America. President Trump is winning nonstop!"
The following day, July 28, she addressed immigration and border control issues with a message that read: "Biden’s open border invitation empowered illegal aliens to invade by both land and sea. Thank you, @USCG, for protecting Americans."
On July 29, Hinson posted another statement regarding immigration enforcement: "These depraved illegal aliens have no place in the United States and should be deported ASAP. It’s ridiculous to see the Left continue to defend these predators."
Ashley Hinson has represented Iowa's 2nd District in Congress since replacing Abby Finkenauer in 2021. Prior to her congressional tenure, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines in 1983 and currently residing in Marion, Hinson graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in 2004.
