Ashley Hinson, the current U.S. Congress representative for Iowa's 2nd district, has recently shared a series of tweets covering various topics through her official account. Hinson, who succeeded Abby Finkenauer in 2021, has been active in politics since her tenure in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1983, she is a graduate of the University of Southern California and resides in Marion.

On April 18, 2025, Hinson expressed her support for Doug Hoelscher, appointed to lead agricultural negotiations at the U.S. Trade Representative. She affirmed her confidence in his ability to secure favorable trade deals for rural America. "Iowa farmers and producers are in great hands with @HoelscherDoug leading ag negotiations at @USTradeRep. Congratulations on your appointment—I have no doubt you will fight to ensure rural America gets the best possible trade deals and expanded market access!" wrote Hinson.

On the following day, April 19, 2025, she reminded her followers of the approaching deadline for the Congressional Art Competition, urging them to visit a linked website for additional information. Hinson also conveyed her Easter greetings on April 20, 2025, sharing her reflections on the significance of the holiday. "Wishing you and your family a joyful and blessed Easter as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ." she stated, adding a personal note about her gratitude for faith and family.

Ashley Hinson, 39, continues her work in Congress, living in Marion and bringing her educational background from the University of Southern California to her role.
