Gov. Kim Reynolds on Oct. 13 said she was discussing a potential bill that would ban workplace requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations.

The announcement came after President Joe Biden stated that he was going to require employees from large businesses to get COVID vaccines or submit to weekly testing, according to Pew Research.

Reynolds said she is having conversations with state legislative leaders to come up with a bill to prohibit vaccine requirements for the workplace, according to The Gazette.

“I don’t support mandates, I support freedom of choice," Reynolds told iHeart Radio. "We’ll continue working with the Legislature, but I can’t fix one unconstitutional mandate with another unconstitutional mandate.”

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) issued an executive order prohibiting any institution/business from mandating COVID vaccine mandates, according to The Gazette.

According to Pew Research, most states have vaccine mandates in place but these vary from state to state.

Most states already require vaccines in schools that protect against polio, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles and rubella. The vaccines that aren't required for the majority of U.S. states are vaccines for the flu, hepatitis A, rotavirus and HPV, according to the Immunization Action Coalition.

“We’re continuing to work on it, we’re continuing to have good conversations with the Legislature,” Reynolds told iHeart Radio. “The Biden administration is a moving target. It’s an overreach. It’s ridiculous. He has no consistency in what he’s doing .... stay tuned."
