Hawkeye Community College Athletics issued the following announcement.
The Hawkeye Community College RedTails have added Vinton-Shellsburg graduate Nyomi Lanham to the Dance team.
Lanham also took part in cheer while in high school, as well as being involved in youth groups and student senate.
"I met Nyomi at an Experience Hawkeye Visit Day and her excitement for dance showed right away five minutes into speaking with her," stated RedTails head coach Abby Kopriva. Kopriva also liked the determination she saw in Lanham, stating, "She is very determined and ready to put in whatever work she needs to."
Lanham received her varsity letter in cheer while at Vinton-Shellsburg, she looks forward to meeting new people while at Hawkeye and joining the RedTail dance team.
