City of Cedar Falls issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
Beginning Monday, October 26th, the City of Waterloo Water Works and their contractor will be closing Leversee Road at the railroad crossings between Rail Way and Lincoln St. (W Airline Highway) for watermain related work. In order for the contractor to begin, a full width closure of Leversee Road will be required at the railroad crossings. This road closure will be in effect for approximately four (4) weeks, depending on the weather. Local access for residential and commercial properties will be maintained by the contractor throughout construction.
For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth on the closed street.
