City of Cedar Falls issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Due to COVID-19 precautions and logistical issues, the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Cedar Falls have canceled the September 19, 2020, Household Hazardous Materials and Electronics Recycling Collection Event. The next collection event is anticipated to be held in the spring of 2021; the date and location has not been confirmed at this time.
Please visit https://wastetrac.org/faqs/ for local recycling options residents may utilize for managing items such as propane tanks, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, computers and other electronic waste, and more.
