On Friday, Feb. 28, former Independence Junior Senior High School standout Logan Schmitt’s current college team, the Queens Royals, lost 7-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the West Virginia Mountaineers.

The game took place at The Stick Williams Dream Fields. This was their first matchup against the Mountaineers this season.

The Royals’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at The Stick Williams Dream Fields against West Virginia Mountaineers.
