Ashley Hinson, a U.S. Congress member representing Iowa’s 2nd district, has recently shared her views on several significant issues via social media. Hinson, who succeeded Abby Finkenauer in 2021 and previously served in the Iowa House of Representatives, has used her platform to express support for local sports achievements, diplomatic efforts, and educational initiatives.

On February 11, 2025, Hinson congratulated local high school wrestling teams for their performance at the state championship. She stated: "Congratulations to East Buchanan, Mount Vernon, and Osage girls' wrestling teams for placing as the top three schools in the 1A state championship!
