On February 9, 2025, Hinson posted about her meeting with the Waterways Council, Inc., highlighting the importance of investments in Iowa’s waterways. She emphasized that these investments are crucial for enabling Iowa farmers to transport their products to market efficiently. "Last week I met with the Waterways Council, Inc. to discuss vital investments in Iowa’s waterways that ensure Iowa farmers can get their products to market."
Later that day, Hinson commented on federal regulations concerning milk consumption in schools. With two growing children at home, she underscored the nutritional benefits of whole milk and criticized regulations that prevent schools from offering it as an option for students.
