The Falls Aquatic Center to Close After August 14

The Falls Aquatic Center to Close After August 14

Due to limited staffing, The Falls Aquatic Center will be closing for the season on August 14, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. The annual Doggie Dip will still take place on August 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

To meet State requirements for staffing levels, The Falls must have 16 lifeguards on staff per day. With seasonal employees departing for school activities, The Falls will not be able to maintain this ratio past August 14. The City will be offering indoor swimming opportunities for the community at Peet Junior High School from August 16 to August 21, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., as the facility requires smaller staffing numbers to remain open. Swimming passes will be valid for use at the indoor pool. Daily entries will also be accepted at $5.00 for adults (18+ yrs) and youth (3-17 yrs) and $3.00 for infant/toddlers (0-2 yrs).  Due to the size of the pool, the number of patrons at any one time will be capped at 100.

As states across the nation have experienced recreational staffing shortages, the team at The Falls has worked hard to provide the community with fun and safe aquatic opportunities this summer. The Falls staff thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation.
