Alley Closure Notice: Ellen Street to Francis Street

3

Beginning June 20, 2022, the contractor will begin reconstruction of the alley from Ellen Street to Francis Street between West 1st Street and West 2nd Street. In order for the contractor to begin, an alley closure will be required. The alley closure will be in effect for four (4) to six (6) weeks, depending on the weather. Below, you will find a map with the closure area highlighted. Garbage and yard waste collection will temporarily be moved onto the side streets, Ellen and Francis Street, the time and day of pick up will not change during this time. Collection for this area of the city is still Tuesdays at 7:00 a.m.

For safety's sake, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth in the closed alley. It would be advisable to stay behind the sidewalk on the property side during the reconstruction work.
