Union Community School District recently issued the following announcement.

  • Don’t forget to get your names in for the weekly  PBIS drawing!!    I will be drawing names on Tuesday next week. Be sure to fill out a slip with your first and last name on it and get entered for the drawing! 
  • Congratulations to the following band students who were chosen to participate in the NEIBA Honor Band on December 4th in Oelwein:  Madi Bistline, Hayden Hemsath, Aubrie Hartwig, Elisabeth Lampe, Taylor Baltes, and Lorelei Hinebaugh
  • WIDDY UP!!!!!!    Our UMS Fundraiser is off and running!!   We are very excited about it!!  Totally easy to do!!!  We have already raised   $  13,000.00    WOW!!!!!   SHARE THAT LINK!!!!!!   There are several KT groups that are really close to each other!!   So, keep sharing that link!!!  Utilize different social media platforms to get the word out!!!    
  •  The Turkey Trot is coming up on Tuesday next week.  We are asking that each student please bring in  two dollars    ($2.00)  to the office to cover the expense of a beverage and snack for each of the party days.  Thanks in advance!! 
  • UMS Dance Team reminder you have pictures coming up on Monday morning  (11/22/21)   at 6:30 am at DG Elementary. 
  • Great job last night to our UMS Wrestlers: Statton Luke had 3 pins, Kaydin Jones, Mays Weber, and Coy Mehlert had 2 pins and Cooper Davis and Garrett Kaalberg had 1 pin each! Good luck today as they head to South Tama !!   Please  dismiss the wrestlers and managers at 2:40 pm today.   Go Knights!!! 
  • Great effort by our 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams last night against Hudson.  8th grade girls won and 7th grade came up short but battled !!  Good luck on Monday as they play Jesup here at UMS!!!
