University of Iowa senior middle blocker Hannah Clayton had the highest attack percentage for the Iowa Hawkeyes during their 3-1 victory against the Maryland Terrapins on Nov. 13 at Xtream Arena on “Senior Night.”

Assistant coach Dave Brown told the university the team did well during the game.

“I think we did a really good job distributing the ball,” Brown said to the university. “I told Courtney (Buzzerio) before the match that she was going to get a lot of sets tonight, and she had the attitude that she was going to make it work, and she did. Based on the stat line, based on the way her teammates responded to her, it was really cool to see.”

During the second set, kills from right side hitter Buzzerio and Clayton, along with a block from opposite hitter Edina Schmidt, kept Iowa’s energy rolling through the end, the university highlighted.

This was Iowa’s last home game for the 2021 season at Xtream Arena, according to The Daily Iowan.

The women’s volleyball team for Iowa defeated Maryland 3-1.

Maryland won the first set 26-24. Iowa won the other three sets 25-19, 27-25 and 25-22.

The win moved Iowa 5-21 overall and 3-13 in the Big Ten for this season.

Iowa will take on Ohio State at 6 p.m. on Nov. 19 in Columbus.
